Navigating PayPal
To be honest, PayPal wants new customers. Consequently, they do all they can to have you create a PayPal account. In reality, you are probably using a corporate or agency credit card and you do not wish to create a PayPal account. A few simple steps will allow you to use a credit card without having to create an account.
After you have pressed "Add to cart"
You should see a new text box under the Infrared & Raman Courses banner that states you have added the course to the cart and on the right hand side is “View cart“.
There is no need to view the cart, simply click on the yellow PayPal bar.
After you click on the yellow PayPal bar, the window to the left appears.
There is no need to supply your email address – that is to create a PayPal account. Instead, click the “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” button, shown highlighted in the image to the left, or below.
This will take you to the next window, below.
The window to the right, or below, is to “Check out as a guest”.
You need to enter your email address (red square on image).
Then, click the blue “Continue to Payment” window, highlighted by the red ellipse.
The next window is quite straightforward, until you come to the end, which portion is shown in the image to the left, or above.
This window asks for your name, address, email, phone number, and credit card number, expiration date, and CVV. All that is necessary before the credit card is accepted.
There is one more trap: At the end of the form is a switch that says “Save info & create your PayPal account”. Be sure to turn this off by moving the button to the left, as shown in the image.
The simply click the blue “Continue as Guest” button.
You are taken to the CheckOut form. All the information from the previous window is generally transferred to the CheckOut form, except your phone number, which you will need to reenter.
All the information you have added is assumed to be the Billing information. If the participant in the course is a different person, please check the “Ship to different address” with the name and email of the participant. If additional participants are paid simultaneously, please add the additional participants names and email addresses in the “Order notes” box.
Simply click the “Place Order” button to complete the registration.
