Payment Options
The most direct process is to pay by credit card. We have an online store that accepts credit card payments through PayPal. This does not require a PayPal account as direct credit card payment is available.
PayPal does encourage the creation of a PayPal account, but we have instructions on how to bypass PayPal account creation, on our page “Navigating PayPal“.
We can also accept payment by check or direct wire transfer. If this option is required, please contact us at ircourses@ircourses.org. We accept purchase orders, but this may cause a delay due to qualification as a preferred vendor from the organization. We are not registered with SAM.gov and do not accept orders through that system.

Refunds and Cancellation
Registration deadlines are two weeks before the courses begin, that is, July 27, 2026 for the Glasgow course, and October 19, 2026 for the Hoboken course. If a participant has to withdraw before the course begins, the tuition will be refunded, less $500, if the withdrawal is before the registration deadline. If the withdrawal is after the registration deadline, the tuition will be refunded, less $800. Unfortunately, we must do this as the registration deadline is the commitment date for the number of participants to the course facilities.
If we are able to replace a withdrawn participant, we shall refund the entire tuition.
If the course is cancelled, due to extenuating circumstances, Infrared & Raman Courses will refund the entire tuition fee. We cannot be responsible for travel costs of the participants, hence, it is suggested, participants purchase travel insurance. We have only once cancelled a course in our 77 year history of the courses when the venue canceled our contract a few weeks before the course was to be held.
